Santa Teresa Gallura

Santa Teresa Gallura is located on a headland facing, to the north, the southern coast of Corsica, from which it is separated by the Straits of Bonifacio; to the North-East is the splendid and unique Maddalena Archipelago National Park with its over 60 islands and rocks made of granite and schist. An enchanting region of Sardinia, full of the suggestive colours and perfumes of the Mediterranean maquis vegetation, Santa Teresa Gallura was once called Longosardo and was already of some importance during the Roman age thanks to its harbour, from where local granite was shipped to Imperial Rome.

The town centre grew up around two inlets, the deeper one, which accommodates the Longone harbour, with its 750 mooring places, and that delimited by the Rena Bianca beach, with its white and extra-fine sand, which boasts the Blue Flag.

Approx. 50 km from Olbia airport and port, Santa Teresa Gallura can also be easily reached by ferry from the port of Bonifacio (Corsica).
